Kaetlynd McRae began her undergraduate career at Queen’s University where she majored in Applied Economics; throughout her time as an Honours student, she volunteered with student government activities and coached a team of rowers. Kaetlynd was a member of the Queen’s Triathalon club and Varsity Rowing team where she was awarded “Rookie of the Year” and nominated for the overall Queen’s Rookie of the Year. After completing her undergraduate Economics degree, Kaetlynd continued her journey at Queen’s with a Master’s degree in Economics.
She has had experience working in many government organizations, from the British Columbia Ministry of Finance to Finance Canada in Ottawa. Kaetlynd currently works as a senior trader at the Bank of Canada where she is responsible for analyzing domestic and foreign markets and conducting market operations to implement monetary policy and support market functioning. She is highly skilled in policy strategies and has developed many relationships with sovereign peers and market participants.
